How does Lokalise Workflows work?

Lokalise Workflows works using a set of triggers that automate processes.

1. First, choose from the following templates to automate each step:

- Start → Translation task → End
- Start → Translation task → Review task → End
- Start → Review task → End
- Start → Translation Memory → End
- Start → Translation Memory → Translation task → End
- Start → Translation Memory → Translation task → Review task → End
- Start → Translation Memory → AI task → Review task → End
- Start → AI task → End
- Start → AI task → Review task → End

2. Schedule when you want your workflow to run (e.g. daily, only Monday at 9am, etc) and set up project scope (e.g. number of languages, new keys only, etc) at the ‘Start’ step of every workflow template.

3. Customize each step to ensure that your workflows are aligned with your project needs. The templates combine one or more of the following steps:

- Translation tasks
- Review tasks
- Translation Memory
- Machine Translation
- AI Translation

Once you have customized your template and activated it, your workflow will run automatically.

What actions can I automate with Workflows?

Lokalise Workflows lets you automate standard multi-step localization processes. There are several actions you can automate in workflows, depending on which multi-step template you choose. Here is the full list of actions you can automate:

- Translate tasks

- Use machine translation
- Translate with AI

Each template can be customized to ensure that every step is executed in alignment with your setup.

How many workflows can I have?

For now, workflows are only available on Pro and Enterprise plans.
- On Pro, you get 20 workflow templates
- On Enterprise you get 50 workflow templates

Do I need engineering resources to set up workflows?

No! Unlike other workflow builders out there Lokalise Workflows is a visual, no-code workflow builder that’s very easy to use, allowing localization teams to create and customize their own processes without having to rely on developers to create custom API-driven workflows for their organization. This gives localization teams more control to define and tweak processes for efficiency maximization of their processes.

Are workflows available on my plan?

For now, workflows are only available on Pro and Enterprise plans.
