Ambra Santoro
Originally from Italy and now based in windy Ireland, Ambra brings a multicultural perspective to her role as a writer at Localize — a perspective that also serves her well in her career as a freelance translator, which she began right after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpreting and Communication in 2014.
In her 10+ years as a professional in the localization industry, she’s worked on all sorts of content: technical manuals, marketing materials, internal trainings, magazines, subtitles for high-profile movies and TV shows (the conversion of chess notation in The Queen’s Gambit still haunts her) and even video games.
When she’s away from the keyboard, she likes to spend time getting lost in fantasy novels and taking terrible photos with her Polaroid camera.
