I'm Magnus, CTO at Lokalise, where I lead the engineering and technology teams building the infrastructure that helps companies ship localized products and content faster and smarter.
I've spent two decades leading engineering organizations across media, streaming, and fintech. Before Lokalise, I was VP of Engineering and CISO at Teya, and before that I spent five years as Senior Director of Engineering at Spotify, where I led growth and platform engineering at scale. Earlier in my career, I was SVP Engineering at Dailymotion and a Senior Technology Architect at Accenture, which gave me a solid grounding in large-scale systems and global digital products.
What ties all of that together is an interest in how technology decisions compound over time: the choices that look like implementation details in year one tend to define what's possible in year five. At Lokalise, that means building AI-driven localization infrastructure that doesn't just work today but scales with the ambiguity and speed of real product development.
I hold a Master's in Computer Science and Engineering from Linköping University, and I'm a Board Advisor at Copilot Capital. My views on AI adoption and localization strategy have been covered in IT Brief and MarTech Cube, among others.
