Filtering options by plan:

Anyone with ‘team admin’ permissions can access Lokalise Analytics. To export specific charts locally and share results in .csv, .xslx, or .json, you'll need to be on an Enterprise plan.

Project statistics show you data for individual projects, not tasks, only available on the Growth plans and upwards. Lokalise Analytics shows you data for all projects and tasks teams are working on and lets you filter by content type, launch, campaign, and much more.

What is a translation method?
A translation method is how you translate a key (piece of text).
Here are the methods you might use:
⚠️ Note that translation memory, machine translation, and AI suggestions will only show up on the Lokalise Analytics dashboard when applied on file upload, automation, or bulk action — not when used individually from the right-hand side panel in Lokalise editor.
- Translation memory (TM): translations that are automatically saved and reused
- Machine translation (MT): translations generated by built-in tools like Google Translate and DeepL
- AI orchestration: an intelligent AI system that routes, generates, and scores translations automatically
Human translation: translations performed by a a human translator
API: translations set through Lokalise APIv2.
Offline — translations made offline and uploaded via an XLIFF file.
Import — translations imported from any external source, including Lokalise APIv2, GitHub, Zendesk, etc.
Other — includes all other activities, such as copying keys between projects, pseudolocalization, find and replace, and restoring translations from history.
Translation method graphs help you evaluate and choose the most effective method based on translations that require the least amount of edits.

While there are differences in word counts between base languages and target languages, we only look at the number of base words translated as a key metric to calculate how many words were translated.

The edit rate by translation method shows the monthly edit rates for each translation method. It indicates how many translations were edited by a reviewer — the fewer the translations edited, the better the initial translation quality.

Average edit distance shows how much a translation was changed by the reviewer using the Levenshtein method. This could be a minor change, like altering a single letter, or a major one, like rewriting the entire translation. See all the changes that we consider.

What do we not support?
Translation methods, edits, and tasks are only available for the master version or branch of your project. The only data that will show up from other branches is the volume of translations merged into the master branch. This volume will be labelled as “Other” translation method.
