We have lots of updates for you (and it’s only February), so let’s cut to the chase.

First up, localization workflows that manage themselves

Let your localization projects flow solo with Workflows

We're excited to announce the release of Lokalise Workflows—no-code workflow templates with multiple steps that you set up once, so tasks run automatically and without delay.

Lokalise Workflows changes how you manage projects—you barely need to manage them!

Instead of setting up individual automation for different steps, Lokalise now lets you create multi-step workflows, so you can automate everything in your translation process in one place and on repeat if scheduled to do so.

Oh, and did we mention, you’ll require ZERO technical expertise?

Choose from ready-to-use workflow templates that can be easily customized using dropdown menus and checkboxes. Yes, THAT simple.

  • Automatically assign tasks, like translation and content review
  • Trigger translation memory as a first step in your translation process
  • Automatically translate with AI, machine translation, or humans

By combining AI translation and translation memory in multi-step workflows, you can speed up the translation process without losing quality, while scheduled handoffs remove delays between translation and review stages, creating a smooth end-to-end localization pipeline.

Another benefit is the smart content batching functionality. Group content from various projects and places using filters and tags then send for translation in one go—a handy way to avoid minimum fees from language service providers.

Improved AI translation, with Claude 3.5 included

Lokalise AI now selects the best translations from multiple large language models (Claude, ChatGPT) and machine translation engines to improve the accuracy of your translated content.

With a growing number of companies translating with AI—AI translation grew by 533% last year—it's set to become a key part of every company’s localization toolkit.

💡How does Lokalise AI work?

Lokalise AI works by selecting the best translation from AI and machine translation engines, including GPT-4o, Claude Sonnet 3.5, DeepL, Google Translate, and Microsoft Translate. It determines which one is the most accurate based on content, context, and language pair.

Minor (but kinda major) update for devs

In addition to the major updates listed above, we've also made several minor updates to Lokalise that will speed up localization processes for developers. These updates include:

Improved GitHub actions

Get access to open-source GitHub actions on all Lokalise paid plans with API access. It’s a drop-in solution with minimal config (~5 lines of code) and allows you to schedule import/exports, and even pair with other solutions (for example, to automatically merge pull requests with updated translations). Cooking up localization success with product teams – recipe book inside

We believe localization is a lot like making a gourmet meal. It’s not easy. That’s why we created The Lokalise Kitchen. To help other ‘cooks’ in the biz learn from those who have already mastered the art of localization. We asked our master chefs (our customers and partners❣️) for their winning recipes and ingredients for

Recipe localization: the Halloween edition 🎃

Did you know recipes are one of the hardest things to localize? Take pumpkin bread for example. Recently, we had a team monthly cooking class. It was a remote cooking class with Lokalisers from Latvia, Italy, France, Spain, and the U.S. Remote cooking classes…That’s a story for another time. Let’s just say, the batter consistency differed across the hemisphere. Going back to the
